STC factions kidnap citizen from Shabwa in Aden

ADEN, March 12 (YPA) – The Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions in Aden kidnapped a man from Shabwa after storming his house and taking him to a prison run by the notorious leader “Kamal Al-Halimi.”

Human rights sources said that “the security belt forces kidnapped the young man Ahmed, the son of citizen Hassan Bikam Al-Mahdar, who hails from Habban in Shabwa, after storming his house by force of arms in the Mansoura area.”

The sources attributed the kidnapping of Al-Mahdar’s son to an attempt by an influential person named Faisal Al-Maflahi to seize control of land belonging to Al-Mahdar by force through elements of the Transitional Council factions who hail from Yafa’a.

The storming of Al-Mahdar’s house led to the terrorizing of women and children, and the arbitrary kidnapping of his son without any legal status, considering that this comes within an escalating series of repressive practices pursued by the Transitional Council factions against the people of Shabwa and Abyan governorates who are present in Aden, the sources added.
