2.4-magnitude earthquake recorded in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – A 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded on Wednesday in Hodeida province.

Head of the Earthquake Monitoring and Study Center, Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, affirmed that the center recorded the earthquake measuring 2 on the Richter scale, 14 km northeast of Zabid district.

Earlier in the day, He added that the center recorded also an earthquake in the Gulf of Aden at 4:00 a.m. near the Gulf of Tadjoura, followed by an earthquake in Indonesia measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, and another earthquake hit Honshu Island in Japan measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale at 8:00 a.m.
