GAZA, Feb. 25 (YPA) -The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” has confirmed its rejection of the new conditions announced by the Israeli occupation’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding the ceasefire agreement.
A leader in the movement, Suhail al-Hindi, indicated in press statements on Monday that there is procrastination and evasion on the part of the Israeli occupation in implementing the terms of the agreement. He added that “the threats issued by the occupation are unacceptable, and the movement will not submit to them in any way.”
Al-Hindi called on mediators to intervene to stop the occupation’s violations and ensure the implementation of the agreement as signed, stressing that the threats would not frighten Hamas or push it to respond to pressures. He confirmed the movement’s commitment to the agreement as long as the other party adheres to it.
The leader explained that the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire agreement several times, the last of which was its refusal to release the seventh batch of Palestinian prisoners within the first agreed-upon phase, despite the resistance’s full commitment to everything stipulated in the agreement.
Al-Hindi stated that the resistance and the Palestinian people are not advocates of war but are rather committed through mediators to implementing the terms of the agreement in full. He emphasized that Netanyahu seeks, through these failed measures, to achieve political gains to maintain his position, which was affected by the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Palestinian people.
At the end of his statements, Al-Hindi explained that Netanyahu, his government, and his army bear full responsibility for this stumbling block and evasion of obligations.
