HADRAMOUT, Feb. 22 (YPA) – A protest rally was staged on Saturday in the city of Al-Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramout, demanding the release of those kidnapped inside the Emirati-run prisons in the province.
In the rally, the participants called for releasing Bassam Bahashwan, who has been kidnapped in an Emirati prison since early last December.
The protesters called on the local and international community to take immediate action to end the suffering of the kidnapped.
The rally pointed out that what Bahashwan was subjected to, in terms of storming his home and kidnapping him from among his family members in a brutal manner, had reflected a flagrant violation of all norms and laws.
They demanded the immediate and unconditional release of Bahashwan and the end of all forms of harassment against the kidnapped.
The participants held the so-called “security support” affiliated with the UAE fully responsible for Bahashwan’s safety and the immediate disclosure of the location of his kidnapping.
