SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – A group of international human rights organizations is currently visiting the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, with the aim of strengthening relations with Yemen and coordinating efforts to confront what are described as crimes of American hegemony.
The international human rights delegation includes prominent figures, including Dr. Pablo Allende, international and national coordinator of the Humanitarian Defense Network and president of the Dr. Salvador Allende Foundation for Politics, Health and Integration in Latin America, in addition to Dr. Roberto Bermudez, president of the Raul Pellegrin Foundation in Chile and a member of the Walls and Anti-Imperialist Resistance and Health Resistance Movement.
As part of their visit, the human rights delegation visited the headquarters of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Tuesday, where they met with the agency’s chairman and editor-in-chief Nasreddin Amer, along with the acting director of the Yemeni General Corporation for Radio and Television, Abdulrahman al-Ahnumi, and the head of the Ansarallah Media Center, Mazen Hiba. During the meeting, Yemen’s position in support of the Palestinian people was discussed within the context of shedding light on the crimes they are being subjected to.
During the meeting, Nasreddin Amer welcomed the guests of Yemen from Latin America, stressing that Yemen’s support for Gaza is a firm position stemming from religion, morals and human values. He added that this commitment goes beyond Palestine to extend to the oppressed peoples of the world. He also referred to the American and Israeli roles in standing behind the crimes witnessed in the region and the world.
For his part, Al-Ahnomi emphasized that the position of Yemen – leadership and people – in supporting Palestine would remain solid despite all the challenges. He pointed out the importance of this visit in understanding the nature of the situation in Yemen and the popular interaction with the Palestinian cause and other oppressed peoples.
In turn, Dr. Allende and Dr. Bermudez praised Yemen’s firm position in supporting the Palestinian people, affirming that this solidarity represents a source of inspiration for the free people of the world. The delegation also expressed its admiration for the media efforts of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), which provides content in several languages, including Spanish, confirming the interest in communicating with the peoples of Latin America who oppose American hegemony.
At the end of the visit, the delegation members were honored with symbolic gifts in appreciation of their support for free peoples in the face of American hegemony. Dr. Allende also presented the chairman of the agency’s board of directors with a book as a gift.
