Southern military expert attacks STC’s leaders

ADEN, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The southern military expert Khaled Al-Nasi attacked the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), describing them as ‘thieves.’

In a post on the ‘X’ platform, Al-Nasi accused the leaders of the STC, headed by Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, who resides in the UAE along with other leaders, of working to achieve the interests of their sons, relatives, and regions only, instead of serving all the citizens.

The military expert confirmed that these leaders had abandoned the southern cause and their duties towards the rights of the citizens in Aden and the southern governorates

This comes amid ongoing angry protests in Aden and other southern provinces for the third consecutive week, triggered by the catastrophic collapse of the Yemeni riyal, lack of basic services, and rising prices.

Additionally, there has been widespread looting and the seizure of state lands, properties, and official institutions for the benefit of those close to the head of the STC.

Last week, hundreds of young people from Aden took to the streets demanding the departure of the Saudi-led coalition forces.
