ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The African Summit condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza, rejecting violations of international law and targeting civilians and infrastructure.
The summit, held in Addis Ababa, described Israel’s actions as genocide against Palestinians and called for international prosecution.
In its final statement, the African summit demanded the immediate release of all Palestinian prisoners and condemned the displacement of Palestinians as a violation of international law.
The summit also urged participating countries to cease cooperation and normalization with Israel until it ends its occupation and aggression in Palestine.
Last year, the African Union barred an Israeli delegation from attending the summit, with reports indicating the delegation was spotted covertly moving behind the scenes.
