Swedish Parliament votes to impose sanctions on Israeli occupation

SANAA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The Swedish parliament has voted to impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation.

The proposed resolution calls on the Brussels government to stop granting arms licenses to the occupation, stop supporting companies linked to its army, and stop all cooperation with companies that appear in the UN database.

The Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC) saluted the political allies, activists and organizations in Belgium who supported and advocated for the adoption of this historic resolution on Palestine.

The movement called on people around the world to step up pressure on their governments to end all forms of direct or indirect complicity, and to demand concrete and targeted sanctions and accountability measures at the national and regional levels and in international courts and forums.
