DHALEA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Hundreds of residents of the city of Dhalea, the stronghold of the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), took to the streets in a massive demonstration on Saturday to protest famine and deteriorating living conditions.
The demonstrators chanted angry slogans calling for the departure of the Saudi-led coalition, denouncing the economic collapse, poor services, and rising prices without any government action to reform.
The participants raised banners calling for urgent economic reforms, improving basic services, controlling prices, and paying delayed salaries in light of an unprecedented deterioration in living conditions in areas under the control of the coalition.
This coincides with the continuation of protests against the coalition and its allied government due to the worsening crises and economic collapse, reflecting the escalation of popular discontent with the stifling humanitarian conditions in Aden and the southern provinces.
