Al-Damashqa tribe gives company 5 days to leave its sites in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 15 (YPA) – The militants of the Damashqa tribe in Wadi Obeida stopped the rehabilitation work of the Al-Abr road linking Yemen and Saudi Arabia, which is under the control of the factions affiliated with the coalition.

Pro-coalition media reported that the gunmen, led by Faiz bin Nasser Oushan, came to the work site and stopped the company’s equipment by force of arms, without providing any reasons for these demands.”

The media explained that the militants gave the company, which carrying out the maintenance work, five days to remove the equipment from the site, and threatened to confiscate it if the deadline was not met, amid the silence of the coalition government.

The sources added that the workers were threatened by the gunmen who put their weapons to the workers’ heads, demanding them to leave the areas under the tribe’s control immediately.

The incident highlighted the growing security chaos in areas under coalition control, which suffer from instability and the spread of armed factions.
