Two strong earthquakes hit Indian Ocean

SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – The stations of the Yemeni Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes have recorded two strong earthquakes in the Indian Ocean.

The seismic bulletin issued by the center explained that the two earthquakes occurred from the Carlsberg ridge in the Indian Ocean, where the first measured 5.1 on the Richter scale, while the second measured 5.3.

The data indicated that the first earthquake occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, at 2:00 am, followed by another earthquake 58 minutes later, without specifying the distance between the two earthquakes and Socotra.
