Sanaa government, Jordan sign first official agreement for joint coordination

AMMAN, Feb. 10 (YPA) – The Supreme Board for Drugs and Medical Appliances (SBDMA) in the Sanaa government and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) signed on Sunday in Jordan’s capital, Amman, a memorandum of understanding to enhance technical cooperation and joint coordination.

The memorandum, signed by Head of SBDMA Dr. Ali Muhammad Abbas and Director of JFDA Dr. Nizar Mahidat, included the exchange of consultations, expertise, and information on standards and laws and the enhancement of scientific and industrial capabilities.

Following the signing, Dr. Abbas considered the signing of the memorandum of understanding as an initial step toward strengthening joint cooperation, to be followed by further steps, including the approval of documents related to drug registration and other shared interests.

In turn, Dr. Mahidat emphasized the significance of strengthening collaboration among Arab pharmaceutical industries to boost Arab drug security.
