Armed confrontations erupt between UAE-backed STC factions in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 09 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out between the UAE-backed Transitional Council factions on Sunday in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that the confrontation occurred between members of the “Military Police” and “Security Belt” factions within a popular market for selling “qat” in the Al-Memdara area of the Sheikh Othman district.

The sources noted that the clashes caused panic among residents but did not provide details regarding any casualties or damages.
