Real disaster threatens Aden in coming hours

ADEN, Feb. 09 (YPA) – Informed sources reported that the “PetroMasila” power plant in Aden province will stop operating on Sunday evening due to a shortage of two thousand barrels of crude fuel from Marib.

The shutdown will lead to a lack of generation, especially with the halt of other diesel and mazut stations.

The Saudi-led coalition-affiliated government has failed to secure fuel for power stations in Aden and the southern provinces of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.

Aden and other southern provinces have been witnessing ongoing protests for the fifth day, denouncing the collapse of services, including electricity, with escalating demands to expel the coalition forces.
