SANAA, Feb. 01 (YPA) – The Pakistan Army’s Public Relations (ISPR) wing said that 11 militants were killed in an operation by Pakistani forces in Harnai area of Balochistan province, while 12 other militants were killed during an overnight clash in Qalat area.
The ISPR said that militants attempted to set up roadblocks in the general area of Mangogir area of Qalat district of Balochistan during the night between January 31 and February 1.
The statement said: “This cowardly terrorist act, carried out on the orders of hostile forces, was primarily targeting innocent civilians and aimed to destabilise Balochistan.”
“Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded quickly, killing 23 militants, while at least 18 soldiers lost their lives during the operations,” the statement added.
