Palestinians injured due to Israeli occupation forces’ attacks in West Bank

WEST BANK, Feb. 01 (YPA) – Several Palestinian citizens were injured on Saturday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces across various areas of the West Bank.

Palestinian media reported that a child was injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces near Ofer Military Prison, situated on the outskirts of the town of Betonia, west of Ramallah.

The Red Crescent said that its crews in Ramallah dealt with a child with live bullets in the thigh and was transferred to the hospital.

According to sources, the occupation forces fired sound bombs and rubber bullets at citizens present on the hill surrounding Ofer prison in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, coinciding with the departure of the bus of released prisoners as part of the fourth batch of the ceasefire agreement.

These attacks resulted in the injury of a child with live bullets, in addition to three injuries with rubber bullets and four cases of suffocation due to inhaling tear gas.

In a related context, a citizen was wounded by the Israeli occupation forces in the Qaqoun neighborhood in Tulkarm camp.

The Red Crescent Society reported that its crews in Tulkarm succeeded in transporting a 50-year-old man from Tulkarm camp after he was shot in the chest area, and he underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation before being transferred to the hospital.

The occupation forces sent heavy military vehicles and bulldozers to Tulkarm camp and began to bulldoze and destroy the infrastructure, homes, and shops while blowing up some of them. They also continue to seize dozens of homes inside the camp and on its outskirts and turn them into military barracks and sniper positions.
