SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology affirmed on Friday that cold weather would go on across various areas of Yemeni provinces.
In a weather bulletin, the center expected that a cold wave may hit Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Marib, Ibb, Mahweet, Taiz, Lahj, Jawf, Abyan, Dhalea, Shabwa, Hadramout, Hajjah, and Mahra.
It pointed out that the coastal areas would be partly cloudy with the possibility of scattered rains on parts of the western and southern coasts, and the Socotra Archipelago, with active winds reaching a maximum speed of 20 knots at the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the southern Red Sea.
The bulletin also warned motorists of poor horizontal visibility due to fog and water mist formation on mountain slopes.
