JENIN, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces admitted on Saturday that three of its soldiers were injured during their ongoing military aggression on the city and camp of Jenin for the fifth consecutive day.
The occupation army reported that a soldier from the “Egoz” unit was seriously injured, another was moderately wounded, and a third was slightly injured during clashes with the Palestinian resistance.
For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas,” stated that an Israeli force was lured into an ambush in the Jenin camp and that confirmed casualties were inflicted on its ranks.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad movement—Jenin Battalion—announced that its fighters are fighting fierce battles with the occupation forces in the merger axis.
During the dawn hours, Jenin Battalion’s fighters detonated a “kj37” ground explosive device on the Al-Bustan axis, targeting Israeli military vehicles and causing confirmed injuries.
In turn, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Jenin stated that its fighters were involved in intense confrontations with Israeli forces across multiple battlefronts within the city of Jenin, using machine guns and explosive devices to strike directly at the occupying forces.
The occupation forces continue their aggression on the city and camp of Jenin for the fifth consecutive day, resulting in the killing of 17 citizens, numerous injuries, and arrests, as well as significant destruction to infrastructure and residents’ property.
A complete closure has been imposed on all four entrances to the city and camp, with earthen barriers erected to block movement in and out. Meanwhile, patients and medical staff at Jenin Governmental Hospital are facing severe challenges due to ongoing power outages and dwindling fuel supplies.
Since the beginning of the offensive, the occupation forces have conducted airstrikes in tandem with large-scale raids and searches within Jenin, in addition to displacing hundreds of families and forcing them to evacuate the camp.
