Economic collapse triggers public protests amid pro-coalition government ignorance

TAIZ, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Labor and employee unions in Yemeni areas under Saudi-led coalition control continue protests over worsening living conditions and currency devaluation.

The Union of Education Employees in Taiz province announced a march for Sunday to demand better wages, payment of overdue salaries and bonuses, health insurance disbursement, and fulfillment of employee rights by the pro-coalition government.

This comes as the coalition-aligned government shows no tangible response to these demands.
