Sanaa: ‘Makkah agreement’ faces real test after Israeli strike on Turkish forces
SANAA, Aug. 24 (YPA) – A member of the Ansarallah political bureau, Mohammed Al-Fareh, stated that the recently concluded “Makkah Agreement” between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan faces a critical test following an Israeli attack targeting Turkish forces in Syria.
He noted that Riyadh is now called upon to demonstrate its commitment and confront the aggression.
In a post on the X platform, Al-Fareh stated that Saudi Arabia intended for the agreement to serve as an umbrella to safeguard its regional policies and its stance in Yemen without bearing the direct consequences of intervention alongside its allies.
He questioned whether such alliances are only activated against vulnerable populations while remaining entirely absent when the aggressor is “Israeli entity” or the United States.
