Demonstration in Sweden calls for prosecuting “Israel” for genocide in Gaza

SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Hundreds of people demonstrated in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, on Saturday, demanding that senior Israeli officials be tried for genocide in Gaza.

Protesters gathered in the Odinilan area to express their solidarity with Palestine and hold Israeli officials, especially Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accountable.

The demonstrators raised several banners that read, “Children are being killed in Gaza,” “Schools and hospitals are being bombed,” and “Palestine is free forever.”

On January 19, a ceasefire between Hamas and the occupation came into effect, whereas its first phase will last for 42 days, during which negotiations will begin to begin a second and then a third phase, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
