WEST BANK, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces on Thursday arrested several resistance fighters from the Jenin Brigade, who are wanted by the Israeli occupation forces, and subjected them to abuse.
According to Palestinian media sources, images released by the security forces showed the arrested fighters with signs of beatings and torture on their bodies, after being forced to remove part of their clothing.
The Jenin Brigade stated that the Palestinian Authority security forces continue their joint mission with the occupation forces, pursuing and arresting resistance fighters to ease the pressure on the enemy, which seeks to impose control over the West Bank.
The security forces also raided a house in Jenin and set up a checkpoint in the village of Triangle of Martyrs south of the city.
They smashed the doors of an apartment building to search for resistance fighters.
Local sources indicated that the PA security forces have intensified their presence in the villages of Jenin, using civilian vehicles to track down those wanted by the occupation.
Among the detainees from the Jenin Brigade are Mohammed Al-Husari, Suhaib Al-Hassan, and Samer Murad.
Since the beginning of the Israeli military operation in Jenin, the Palestinian Authority security forces have stepped up their pursuit of resistance fighters and youth in the city, arresting more than 30 young men.
