SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Two children were killed and six others were injured, including three children, on Thursday, due to the explosion of objects from the remnants of war spread across large geographical areas of Syrian territory, bringing the death toll from the remnants of war in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime on December 8 to 264, including 111 martyrs and 153 injured.
The Syrian Observatory reported that two girls lost their lives when a landmine from the remnants of war exploded in areas controlled by the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham administration in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria.
In addition, three children were injured by a landmine explosion from the remnants of war in the countryside of the city of Manbij, northern Syria.
Three civilians were also injured when a landmine from the remnants of war exploded in the village of Ain al-Ghazal in the Latakia countryside, while they were working to open roads and remove dirt barriers, according to the observatory.
According to the Observatory’s documentation, the number of Syrian civilians who were martyred after the fall of the former Syrian regime in various Syrian governorates reached 111 civilians, including 77 men, 25 children, and 9 women, and 153 others were injured, including 76 children and 7 women.
Since the fall of the Assad regime on December 8, the remnants of war have posed a constant threat to the lives of residents, especially displaced persons returning to their destroyed villages and former military areas.
