Al-Quds Brigades: Any escalation by Israeli occupation may expose its prisoners to death
GAZA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – The military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, Abu Hamza, warned on Saturday that the heavy Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip shortly before the ceasefire agreement entered into force could result in the death of Israeli prisoners.
Abu Hamza said, in a statement on Telegram, “The intensity of the Israeli bombing takes us towards two paths. The first is for the families of the Israeli prisoners to receive their sons in coffins, and the second option is for them to receive them in their homes.”
He stressed that the choice of the last hours before the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement enters into force is in the hands of the Israeli occupation army alone.
The military spokesman for the Al-Quds Brigades stated that the families of the Israeli prisoners should urge the Israeli army to halt the intense bombardment that is causing the loss of their sons.
The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip will enter into force at 8:30 am local time in the Strip (06:30 GMT) tomorrow, Sunday, according to what the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Saturday, but the occupation army continues its intensive raids on the Gaza Strip.
