Ali Ashal’s brother reveals serious details about STC movements

ABYAN, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The brother of Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani, who has been forcibly disappeared while in detention by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Aden city, in southern Yemen, has called for urgent action to uncover his sibling’s fate.

He stated that no information about his brother has been available since mid-June.

Sheikh Hussein Ashal Al-Jaadani, the brother of the abducted man, stressed that the Al-Jaadani tribe, along with allied tribes, plans to intensify their protests in the coming days until Ali’s whereabouts are revealed. He pointed to the well-known involvement of specific parties in his brother’s abduction and disappearance in Aden.

In a press statement, he noted that the STC has increased its efforts to suppress the peaceful sit-in over the past ten days, even resorting to armed threats against lands belonging to the Al-Jaadani tribe.

Sheikh Hussein further stated that the STC factions stormed the sit-in camp after attacking the residence of Sheikh Mohammed Sikin Al-Jaadani, who heads the camp’s organizing committee. He reaffirmed that the sit-in will persist until Ali’s fate is disclosed and those responsible for his abduction are brought to justice.
