DHAMAR, Jan. 16 (YPA) – Yemen’s Center for Monitoring and Study of Earthquakes and Volcanoes in Dhamar province on Thursday reported an earthquake in the Gulf of Aden, southern Yemen, with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale.
The region has experienced two earthquakes in the past two days, with the first magnitude of 4.2 in the east and the second magnitude of 4.3 in the west, according to the center.
Other earthquakes have been recorded in Lahj province’s Al-Maqatera area with a magnitude of 2.7 and in Shabwa province’s Ataq city with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale during the current week.
This comes after Ethiopia witnessed hundreds of earthquakes and earthquakes since last December.
