Anger against coalition is growing amid calls for protests in Aden
ADEN, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Aden city, southern Yemen, is to witness an anger demonstration scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, demanding the removal of the Saudi-led coalition and its allied government due to worsening economic conditions and declining public services.
Activists on social media have urged residents of Aden and the southern governorates to assemble at Parade Square in Khormaksar to protest what they refer to as a “war of starvation and lack of services.”
They highlighted the deteriorating economic situation, soaring prices, and electricity outages lasting over 20 hours daily.
Aden and the southern governorates face ongoing security instability, service shortages, and delayed salary payments, exacerbating citizens’ hardships despite repeated promises since the war began in 2015.
