MUSCAT, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The “Carrefour” company announced the suspension of its operations and the closure of all its branches in the Sultanate of Oman, starting Tuesday, due to the campaign to boycott companies that support the Israeli occupation.
The company explained through its Facebook and Instagram accounts that this step comes after many years of work in the Sultanate, stressing that “the final closure will take place as of January 7, 2025.”
It is worth noting that the Sultanate of Oman is considered the second Arab country in which Carrefour has closed its branches after Jordan, as its branches there were closed on November 4, 2024.
Carrefour is a famous French store chain specializing in the sale of food and non-food products, and it is considered among the largest and most important store chains in the world.
