About 27 Israeli soldiers killed, injured in Gaza fresh battles

ALQUDS, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation media acknowledged on Thursday 27 Zionist soldiers were killed and injured about two weeks ago during the battles with the Palestinian resistance north of the Gaza Strip.

The occupation’s newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the soldiers were targeted in the last military operation that erupted in the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Strip.

“17 soldiers were transferred to the hospital on Wednesday, and their condition was critical, after being injured in battles north of the Gaza Strip, the Hebrew newspaper added.

This came amid the continued Israeli bombing of residential buildings in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and the town of Beit Hanoun, which have been subjected to genocidal war for more than 15 months.

More than 40 officers and soldiers have been killed and dozens have been injured since the beginning of the last Israeli ground invasion of the northern Palestinian Strip on October 5, 2024, according to the newspaper.

The announced death toll of the occupation forces has risen to over 831 officers and soldiers since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including 392 soldiers since the beginning of the ground invasion of the Strip on October 27 of the same year.

While the number of wounded has reached more than 5,578 officers and soldiers, including 2,529 soldiers since the ground invasion began over the Strip on October 27, 2023.
