WORLD, Jan. 05 (YPA) – The world continues to protest against the Israeli genocide in Gaza and Lebanon, according to the forms of demonstrations available in each country.
In the German capital, Berlin, protesters gathered near the Kleistpark metro station in the Schoneberg district to show support for Palestine and protest against the genocide in Gaza. The protest sparked clashes between protesters and police, resulting in the arrest of at least nine protesters
Similarly, several Western cities, including Cardiff, Melbourne, and San Francisco, saw massive demonstrations in support of Palestine and condemnation of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
They also called for an immediate release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and his medical team.
In Welsh, Protestors from the Cymru Peace Coalition peacefully blockaded the BAE Systems Glascoed facility in Pontypool.
The coalition said they had targeted the site claiming BAE was one of Britain’s biggest weapons suppliers to Israel and calling for an end to the UK Government’s arms sales to Israel.
In New York, Pro-Palestinian Protests continued outside the offices of “News Corporation,” NBC Studios, and ABC News, condemning their biased coverage of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
Protesters carried anti-occupation banners and Palestinian flags.
In Cape Town, South Africa, healthcare workers organized a protest condemning the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system by the occupation. They called for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and all the healthcare workers trapped in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Pro-Palestine groups held a protest on Saturday against Barclays Bank in the UK for continuing to fund the genocide through investments in the Israeli weapons company “Elbit Systems.”
