UAE-backed military commander injured in bombing attack in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 05 (YPA) – A military commander in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias was injured on Sunday in Mudiyah district, east of Abyan governorate, southern Yemen.

Sources in the district confirmed that the reconnaissance officer of the so-called “6th Support and Reinforcement Brigade,” Hamza Al-Najdi, known as “Abu Saud,” was injured after his military vehicle was targeted by an explosive device detonated by unknown gunmen in front of Qarn Ashal at the entrance of Mudiyah district.

It was reported that Al-Najdi and several of his wounded companions were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
