GAZA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – Dozens of Palestinian citizens were killed and injured last night and early this morning due to the ongoing Israeli airstrikes targeting different areas of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources reported that two citizens were killed and others were injured when the Israeli occupation targeted a tent sheltering displaced persons near Jalal Street in the center of Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
They added that six citizens were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle on Salah al-Din Street in the eastern sector of Khan Yunis.
Additionally, one citizen and a child were killed in the Israeli bombing of two homes belonging to the Al-Majayda and Al-Sharif families in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.
The sources also mentioned that rescue teams managed to retrieve bodies of three martyrs from under the rubble of a home targeted by Israeli forces on Al-Sahaba Street in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
Several citizens were injured when the occupation forces bombed a house belonging to the Al-Ghoul family in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and search operations are still ongoing for missing persons under the rubble.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation continued to blow up residential buildings in the Jabalia refugee camp and its surroundings in northern Gaza.
