Angry protest rally erupts in Hays against deterioration of service

TAIZ, Jan. 04 (YPA) – Hundreds of Tihama people in Hays area, which is under the control of the Emirati-backed armed factions, south of Hodeida province, held on Thursday an angry protest rally to denounce the deterioration of service and economic conditions.

In the popular rally, the participants toured the main streets to demand the dismissal of officials loyal to Tariq Afash, a nephew of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who have become symbols of corruption and looting of public money.

The participants raised banners demanding action to stop the deterioration of services and hold accountable all those involved in corruption cases, who have evaded their responsibilities towards citizens and turned to achieving their personal interests.

The demonstrators stressed the continuation of the popular escalation until their demands be met and urgent solutions be found to the economic and service crisis in the directorate.
