ADEN, Jan. 01 (YPA) – The parade square in the city of Aden witnessed on Wednesday a mass demonstration where hundreds of teachers and academics protested against the worsening living conditions and delayed salaries, expressing their deep dissatisfaction.
The demonstrators raised banners in which they demanded that the Saudi-led coalition-affiliated government quickly pay their delayed salaries from last October. They also demanded settling their employment conditions and providing basic services that guarantee them a decent life.
The protesters strongly denounced the policy they termed “starvation,” arguing that the delay in paying salaries directly impacts their lives and their families, denying them basic necessities.
The demonstrators confirmed their commitment to continue their protests and demonstrations until their legitimate demands are met, stating they will not back down until they are fully achieved.
