ADEN, Dec. 29 (YPA) – Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula announced on Sunday about 11 kidnapped people, including journalist Mohammed Al-Maqri who has been kidnapped since 2016, were executed in the coalition-held areas in southern Yemen.
The so-called “Security Committee of the Organization” issued last Friday a statement, which was circulated on social media over the past few hours, confirmed that the charges that led to the execution of the kidnapped were related to spying for a number of parties, without mentioning them.
The statement explained that Mohammed Qaed Al-Maqri who the organization kidnapped in 2016 was working as a correspondent for Yemen Today Channel, when terrorist elements took control of the city of Mukalla, the provincial capital of Hadramaut, was also executed.
The organization, which is based in the coalition-held areas in southern Yemen, announced the list of people who were executed and identified suchas Naji al-Zuhairi, Mohammed Ahmad Hussein al-Azani, known as “Dhamra”, Mohammed Ahmad Bashb, Abdul Rahman Hussein Hadis, al-Rasas Alawi Hussein Ahmad al-Rasas, Abdul Aziz Mohammed Saleh al-Hadi, Hussein Mohammed Ali al-Saadi, known as “Mujahid al-Saadi”, and Abdullah Ali al-Azani, known as “al-Hayawan”, in addition to Youssef Saleh Ahmad Mohammed Abdul Karim al-Humaiqani, Hussein Ali Mohammed Hussein al-Suwadi, and Mohammed al-Maqri.
