Lebanon hands over 70 ex-regime officers to Syria’s new administration

DAMSCUS, Dec. 29 (YPA) – At least 70 officers of Syria’s deposed Assad regime who had fled to Lebanon have reportedly been handed over to Syria’s new administration, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

According to reliable SOHR sources, three buses belonging to Lebanese General Security moved the detainees, accompanied by vehicles from a delegation of the Lebanese Army Intelligence and General Security, headed by a colonel from Lebanese General Security.

They were handed over to the Military Operations Administration and moved to the Syrian territory.

Reliable sources reported that the officers and combatants were detained on Friday for entering Jebayel area in Lebanon illegally.
