Cold wave expected to target various areas of Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected pn Saturday very cold weather across Yemen.

in its weather forcast, the center affirmed that the a cold wave may target the provicnes of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada, Ibb highlands, with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them.

It reported the weather would be cold in western Jawf and southern Marib and the plateaus of Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra) and the highlands of Dhalea, Lahj and Abyan), in additional to the highlands of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma and Taiz.

The center pointed out that the coastal areas would have clear to partly cloudy weather in general, with the possibility of light rain in parts of the north of the west coast and the Socotra Archipelago, and the light to moderate winds.

It renewed its warnings to citizens in the highlands, interior plateaus and deserts of very cold weather during the night and early morning hours.

The center clled on farmers to take the necessary measures to protect crops, as well as livestock herders, beekeepers and poultry keepers to preserve their property from cold and very cold weather.
