“SDF” warns of escape of thousands of “ISIS” detainees from detention centers

DAMASCUS, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), has warned of the escape of thousands of “ISIS detainees” from detention centers due to attacks by Turkey and its allies.

Abdul Karim Omar, the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, has hinted that ongoing Turkish and its allies’ attacks on the region could potentially lead to the escape of thousands of ISIS members.
This came in his speech at the Green Party bloc meeting in the French city of Strasbourg, which discussed the situation in Syria following the fall of the Syrian regime.

Omar emphasized the importance of the international community, particularly the European Union, closely monitoring the situation in Syria to bring about national and democratic change.

He stressed the need for all Syrian components, particularly the Kurdish people and northern and eastern Syria, to participate in the political process to build a new, democratic, decentralized Syria.
