Israeli occupation arrests 40 Palestinian citizens from West Bank

WEST BANK, Dec. 10 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign since yesterday evening until Tuesday morning, detaining at least 40 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, including former prisoners.

The Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club explained that the arrests were concentrated in the Jericho and Hebron governorates, while the rest of the arrests were distributed in the Qalqilya, Jenin, Tubas, and Bethlehem governorates.

During the arrest campaigns, the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread raids and abuse, assaults, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to field investigation operations and sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.

Since the start of the ongoing Israeli genocide war and aggression against the Palestinian people, over 12,000 arrests have occurred in the West Bank, including Al-Quds, while institutions have not been able to limit the cases of arrest from Gaza, which are estimated in the thousands, as a result of the occupation’s implementation of the crime of enforced disappearance against them.
