HADRAMOUT, Dec. 07 (YPA) – Activists in the governorate of Hadramout, which is under the control of Saudi-led coalition in eastern Yemen, have revealed an unprecedented disaster affecting the marine wealth, amid a severe food crisis that is ravaging the local population.
The activists on social media posted a video showing the devastation of fish resources, which are being dredged and ground by factories owned by influential figures in the governorate, leading to an unparalleled depletion. Meanwhile, UAE forces continue to block fishermen from accessing the sea.
They confirmed that the sea has become restricted to the influential figures, who are dredging small fish, including those meant for breeding, while the ordinary Hadrami citizen has minimal means to access fish.
