DAMASCUS, Dec. 05 (YPA) – About 150,000 Syria people have been forced to flee their homes due to the escalation of fighting between the government forces and the factions of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (Al-Nusra Front) in northwestern Syria.
UNHCR Representative of Syria, Mr. Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, said in a post on the “X” platform that the number of Syrians forced to flee due to the fighting in and around Aleppo to increase quickly.
Earlier, the UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for an immediate and comprehensive cessation of fighting in northern Syria, warning of the danger of escalating violence and its humanitarian repercussions on the civilian population in those areas.
