SANAA, Nov. 12 (YPA) – Yemen’s military carried out two military operations targeting the American aircraft carriers and destroyers the Arabian and Red Sea.
Spokesman of the armed forces Brig. Gen. Yahiya Sarie, said in a televised statement on Tuesday that USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) was targeted in the Arabian Sea with a number of winged missiles and drones, hitting the goal accurately, while it was preparing to carry out hostile operations against Yemen.
He added that the a number of ballistic missiles and drones targeted also two American destroyers in the Red Sea, scoring the goals successfully.
The spokesman held the American and British enemy responsible for turning the Red Sea region into a military zone for tension and its repercussions on maritime navigation.
He stressed that Yemeni armed forces will further use their legitimate right to defend and confront and US and British warships in the Red and Arabian Seas, and all hostile threats that target Yemen.
The spokesman reiterated that military operations will not stop unless the aggression on Gaza and Lebanon is stopped and the siege is lifted.
Sarie added that two operations lasted eight hours.
