MAHRA, Nov. 12 (YPA) – A security official was killed on Tuesday by unknown gunmen in the coalition-controlled Mahra province in eastern Yemen.
Local sources in the province said Mutia Mohammed Ali Al-Jumaili, who assumed the rank of “Lieutenant 1” in the Police forces, was killed by gunmen believed to be drug smugglers in Hasween area.
The sources did not mention any other details about the reasons for the clashes and the party behind the accident.
This comes as a result of an extension of the security chaos the southern and eastern provinces of Yemen that witnessed since the coalition took control of them in early 2016.
