Tihama people demand release of tribal Sheikh from pro-UAE factions’ prisons

MOCHA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Al-Zahari area, north of Mocha district, which is under the control of the factions loyal to the UAE, witnessed on Wednesday a protest demanding the release of a tribal sheikh from prisons of the “Al-Amaliqa Brigades.”

In the protest, the sons of Al-Zahari denounced the continued detention of Sheikh Abdusalam Ahmed Zaidi, the Sheikh of the village of Hasi Salem, by elements of the “Fourth Al-Amaliqa Brigade.”

They considered Zaidi’s kidnapping a flagrant violation against the people of Tihama.

The protest coincides with the ongoing state of tension and popular anger among the people of Tihama and the west coast, stemming from the ongoing violations committed by pro-UAE factions against their citizens.
