STC factions storm building of local authorities in Lahj

LAHJ, Oct. 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council factions stormed, on Thursday, the local authorities building in Lahj governorate, southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that armed factions from Yafa and Dhalea stormed the local authority building located in the city of Al-Hawtah, the center of the governorate, and raised the flag of the Transitional Council on the building.

The sources confirmed that the gunmen of Al-Sabiha tribes had come to the home of the governor of Lahj, Ahmed Al-Turki, to consult about the details of the storming incident, while tensions still persist in the governorate center.
