Al-Quds Brigades bomb “Gaza envelope” settlements with rocket barrage

GAZA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, claimed on Wednesday evening their responsibility for launching a barrage of rockets at the Gaza envelope settlements.

In a military statement, the Brigades confirmed that they bombed “Sderot,” “Nir Am,” and the settlements of the Gaza envelope with a rocket barrage.

“During a complex ambush, and in cooperation with Al-Qassam Brigades, we trapped three Merkava tanks in a pre-prepared ambush with Shuath explosive devices, anti-tank shells of the “tandem” type, and “RPG” shells in the Al-Qasasib neighborhood in the middle of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip,” the brigades said in another statement.

Additionally, the Brigades released video footage showing their fighters targeting the enemy’s gatherings east of the Jabalia camp with mortar shells.

In response, the Israeli Home Front reported that “siren were sounded in Sderot, Nir Am, and Ev’im in the northern Gaza envelope.”

Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance, through all its military formations, continues to confront the Israeli occupation forces advancing into the Gaza Strip, particularly in the Jabalia camp.

The Israeli occupation army continues its fierce assault on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, killing 42,409 and wounding 99,153, according to the Health Ministry in the Strip.
