OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 17 (YPA) – A former Israeli intelligence official warned his government about the looming catastrophe of the Lebanon war.
“Amid the absence of thought regarding the end of the campaign, we stand before “an endless war that will lead to a resounding strategic defeat that could destroy the relative advantage of Israel,” Former Israeli Intelligence chief Tamir Hayman said.
For over two weeks, the occupation army has failed to achieve any breakthrough along the land border with Lebanon, suffering significant losses due to ambushes by the Lebanese resistance.
On Wednesday evening, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon forced Israeli occupation forces to deploy their entire military capabilities to evacuate their casualties after operations carried out by the resistance in Aita al-Shaab and Ramia in southern Lebanon.
Some observers commented on the incident, stating that “the occupation forces have turned into an ambulance crew at the hands of the Lebanese resistance in Aita al-Shaab.”
Israeli media reported that an assault targeting troops from the “Golani” Brigade near the Lebanese border resulted in at least 45 soldiers being killed or wounded, with some in critical condition. They were transported to hospitals in Haifa, the Galilee, and Tel Aviv.
