Tasnim news agency: Iran’s FM visit to Lebanon carries key message

TEHRAN, Oct. 05 (YPA) -Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi carried an important message during his visit to Lebanon on Friday, stating that Tehran will not leave Beirut alone, Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday.

The agency quoted the Iranian ambassador to Beirut, Mostafa Amani, who commented on Araghchi’s visit, saying, “Iran will not allow the fate of the region to be changed by America and the illegal Zionist entity,”

“The future will be decided by the countries of the region under the leadership of the resistance front,” he added.

Araqchi’s trip to Lebanon will have “significant regional implications,” the ambassador said.

“Iran has always shown that it will stand by Lebanon in difficult situations,” he added.

The Iranian foreign minister stated on Friday that his presence in Beirut is proof that Iran stands fully alongside Hezbollah, emphasizing that consultations continue with other countries to reach a ceasefire that respects the rights of the Lebanese people.

Araqchi also expressed confidence that the crimes of the Israeli entity will get nowhere and that the Lebanese people would emerge victorious.

He also stated that his country backs any ceasefire that Lebanon negotiates, as long as it is approved by the Lebanese resistance and safeguards the rights of the Lebanese people, while ensuring a total cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
