Hezbollah continues to confront Israeli enemy’s attempts to advance along south Lebanon border
BEIRUT, Oct. 05 (YPA) – Hezbollah continued to confront attempts by Israeli enemy forces to advance along the Lebanese-Palestinian border, and carried out military operations against the enemy entity in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and in defense of Lebanon and its people.
A field officer in the Islamic Resistance Operations Room explained that enemy forces attempted to advance on Friday afternoon, after intense artillery and aerial cover, from two axes toward the towns of Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun at the front line.
He indicated that when the forces reached the pre-prepared ambush points, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance, detonated a number of explosives and engaged in fierce clashes with Zionist elite officers and soldiers using light, medium weapons and rocket fire from close range, reaching distances as close as zero.
The officer stated that the infiltrating force suffered several casualties and those who were unharmed carried the fatalities and retreated under artillery fire cover from the enemy’s positions in the occupied territories.
Regarding the photos published by the enemy forces showing their soldiers near the homes of a border village, the officer stated that the images released yesterday by the Israeli “army” were taken in a geographical area just meters away from the occupied Palestinian territories.
He noted that, as everyone knows, some residents of southern Lebanon built their homes near the border.
The officer added that to obtain these images, which Netanyahu desperately needs, the price was more than 20 dead and wounded among elite soldiers, which forced the Israeli military sergeant to hide and cover up the incident.
He emphasized that the fighters of the Islamic Resistance are monitoring and responding to any hostile movements along the front line in southern Lebanon and pursue Israeli soldiers in their bases and arracks along the entire border line in the occupied territories with artillery shells and rocket fire.
