Shabwa tribes stand united against UAE-backed STC factions

SHABWA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Sheikhs and tribes of Shabwa organized a solidarity rally with the families of detainees and forcibly disappeared persons inside the prisons of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC).

A number of Upper Markha tribes and sheikhs demanded in a statement that the immediate release of all detainees in the prisons of the STC.

The statement urged human rights and humanitarian organizations to demand the release of detainees, reveal the fate of those forcibly disappeared, and hold accountable those responsible for these crimes and violations.

This comes as the Al-Jaadna tribes in Abyan and Laqmush tribes in Shabwa to continue to call on the STC’s factions to reveal the whereabouts of their kidnapped and forcibly disappeared sons, including Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashal Al-Jaadani, who has been forcibly disappeared in the STC prisons since last June.
